This group covers Japanese, Korean, Thai, Vietnamese, Indian and other Asian cuisines that are not Chinese, and the etiquette varies by kitchen. Japanese and Korean restaurants often take reservations for dinner and may add a service charge for large groups; Thai and Vietnamese spots are usually walk-in and quick-turnover. Spice levels are frequently adjustable on request at Thai, Indian and Sichuan-adjacent menus, so say if you want it mild or hot. Korean BBQ restaurants typically charge per person for all-you-can-eat service with a time limit, and grills are shared at the table. Vietnamese pho shops post bowl sizes (regular or large) and a plate of herbs, bean sprouts and lime is normal to add yourself. Card and tap-to-pay are widely accepted; cash-only is more common at small family-run counters.

Kalbi Social Club completely exceeded my expectations! If you’re expecting a traditional all-you-can-eat Korean BBQ experience, this is something entirely different, in the best way possible. From the moment we walked in, we were blown away by how beautiful the restaurant is. The space is modern, elegant, and thoughtfully designed, creating such a fun yet upscale atmosphere that’s perfect for date nights, girls’ nights, family dinners, or any special occasion. We ordered the Signature Experience, and the quality of the meat was outstanding. Every cut was incredibly fresh, flavorful, and grilled tableside by the staff, which made the entire meal feel relaxed and elevated. We also loved the fluffy egg soufflé, the Shake That Kimchi (such a fun interactive touch!) and the cheesy potato pancake. Everything we tried was delicious. One of the biggest highlights was the service. Every member of the team was warm, attentive, and knowledgeable. We especially appreciated that several of the staff spoke multiple languages, including Korean, and Spanish, which made the experience feel even more welcoming and inclusive. The mocktails and other non-alcoholic drinks were just as impressive as

This is probably the best Korean BBQ I've had in Irvine so far. Going in I kind of thought it might be since it is on the upscale side, which means that the meat going is pretty top notch. It's not exactly a mom and pop type of traditional Korean restaurant, so more modern. The ambiance is really elegant, and the food is tasty all around. The sharables (appetizers) were surprisingly good, especially the kalbi dumplings and fried chicken wings. My highest recommendation for shareables. For the meat, I got the Starter Experience which is designed for 2 people. It comes with Beef Brisket, Flat Iron, and the KSC Signature Kalbi. The standout was clearly the KSC Kalbi. I can even say one of the best short ribs I've ever had in a Korean bbq restaurant. The tenderness and marination are near perfection. If you're looking for a kbbq spot in Irvine, then this is definitely a restaurant you need to try, especially if you are new the Spectrum.

We celebrated our son’s birthday at Kalbi Social Club, and it was an absolutely wonderful experience from start to finish! The food was outstanding—every dish was flavorful, fresh, and beautifully presented. The Korean BBQ was especially delicious, and everyone in our family left happy and satisfied. What truly made the evening special was the exceptional service. The staff was attentive, friendly, and helped make our son’s birthday celebration feel memorable and stress-free. They went above and beyond to ensure our family had a great time. The atmosphere was vibrant, modern, and perfect for a special occasion. We couldn’t have chosen a better place to celebrate such an important milestone. Thank you, Kalbi Social Club, for helping us create such wonderful birthday memories. We will definitely be back and highly recommend it to anyone looking for great food, outstanding service, and a fantastic dining experience!

We use to come almost every week when they opened and recommended it to a lot of friends. Food use to be really good. They started changing the menu about 4 times since we first went. The first 2 times were fine. We would get the combo K for $118. With the new menu (5/5/26) we paid about $180 not including tip and the quality of the meat changed badly. Server said they sourced to a new place that’s supposedly better. The brisket was so lean that it just dried out where we couldn’t even swallow it. The other meats didn’t taste like anything we had to drench it in sauce. The stuff that use to come with the combo is now extra. We were really looking forward to dining here after some time away but the amount we paid we were still hungry, compared to previous times we would always get full after the second meat they grill. Pics are the amount of meat you get for 2 people $69 each. We’ll be crossing this off our list.
